QtCreator can select the wrong kit for newly created QtQuick UIs

      If you have different kits supporting different versions of QtQuick imports, you can run into a situation where QtCreator selects a kit for a new Qt Quick UI that cannot actually run the application. To reproduce:

      1. Make sure you have a Qt 5.3 and a Qt 5.4 kit
      2. Create a Qt Quick UI with Qt Quick Controls 1.3
      3. Check which kit it selected.
