      C/C++ can be verbose and the line spacing of most programming fonts tends to be quite large. Allowing the adjustment can improve the amount of code displayed on screen with little to no impact on readability.

      Included is a screenshot of Consolas as rendered by Android Studio (IntelliJ IDEA based) with different line spacings expressed as a factor.
