Users keep complaining that the auto/smart quoting feature in Qt Creator does not do what they expect.
I remember that much effort and care went into this feature when being implemented So bjorn, would you mind checking whether quoting still works as intended? Perhaps there was some regression in the meantime.

In case it still works as intended, I suggest we add an option for smart quoting which is off by default. But that would be another task.
