Changes to object name in QtCreator design mode are not reflected in code

Changes to object name in QtCreator are not reflected in code. If I have a comboBox and its name is cmbx and I reference that object in my code, after changing name of that object to more meaningful name code no longer compiles due to the fact that the old name cmbx hasn't been updated. And it should be.
