If you load for instance qtbase in qtcreator and then checkouts a different branch of qtbase, for instance from 5.6 to dev, then qtcreator will dramatically increase the amount of memory it uses. The memory consumption will increase even further if you switch again, even if switching back to 5.6.

It seems like either a memory leak or some parsed structures not cleaned up when reparsing files.
