build hangs at "Persisting CMake state..."

    Description

      Sometimes (rarely, but 4 times in last 2 weeks), build hangs with "Persisting CMake state...". Looks like a dead-lock. Only Ctrl-C helps.

      I'm not sure how to reproduce it. My impression is, that it occurs after some changes made to cmake config (e.g. creating a previously non-existent build dir) and then building...
