Keyboard stops responding

Starting with 3.6.1, and still present in 4.0.0, the keyboard will suddenly stop responding while editing code. At this point, no editor commands, application keyboard shortcuts, or text fields (such as filter in Options) will function until Qt Creator is restarted. The arrow keys continue to work in the Filesystem or Open Documents sidebar.

Running Qt Creator from the commandline yields no log messages.

FakeVIM is activated, though I don't think this is a FakeVIM specific issue as it is affecting input outside the editor.

I'd be happy to help get more diagnostic information; are there logs I can turn on to help debug?
