Is is / will it be possible to create and deploy Qt applications onto Android Wear devices? It is already possible to create a wearable AVD and most other dev stuff may be the same for native android development. Wearable tech is without doubt the next hot device after Qt conquered the mobile market. Since wearables will use existing OS e.g. Android (and iOS) then getting Qt onto these devices should definitely be enabled sooner rather than later?
Writing apps for mobile/desktop/wearable may however need a higher level API than having to resort to e.g. JNI to make the Qt apps talk to each other. You could use Q Cloud Services but as far as I know wearables tend to require a Bluetooth connection to another device to work properly.
Is there any work being done in this area at all?
