Server Mode: CMake process crashes in complex project

Using

```
$ ~/.local/pkg/cmake/bin/cmake --version
cmake version 3.7.1
```

and current `master` qt-creator, configuring a project dies with

```
...<cmake output>...
Configuring done
Generating done
QLocalSocket: Remote closed
CMake process "~/.local/pkg/cmake/bin/cmake" crashed.
```

and no targets etc. are listed for this project.

The same setup works for pretty "simple" projects, however, this is a major cmake project with ~1000 targets.

Is there a way to provide further debug output, e.g., figure out why cmake in server mode crashes? Can I test this independent of qt-creator?
