'view menu' separated from 'window menu'

      The options to show/hide special views (mode selector, debug views,output panes etc..) are currently a submenu in the 'window' menu;

      perhaps separating these off into a separate menu will make navigation easier (breadth vs depth of the menu, how much you can browse easily);
      see the menu layout in 'xcode'

       

      a 'broader' menu gives you many self-documenting hotkeys (2-key chords).  Menubars seem to be going out of fashion but a programmer is going to be keyboard centric, and the classic menu-bars are great in suiting a keyboard or mouse workflow equally well IMO .. not everything old is bad.
