Android: Cannot stop application explicitly while it is running

Steps to reproduce:

• create Qt Quick Application from template
  (* place breakpoints into cpp and qml file - not sure if necessary)
• start debugging on device
  (* trigger a bp inside qml and hit continue)
• trigger 'Stop' for the debugger

Current result:

• after some time a message box comes up stating the gdb process had not responded and I might give more time to it..
• even if you do, nothing happens..

Note; not sure if this is correct, but it appeared as if triggering 'Stop' only triggered an interrupt (see token 132 inside debug.log)
