Virtual keyboard does not work in the sample Qt Quick application

      Virtual keyboard does not work on the sample Qt Quick application.

       

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Install Qt emulator
      2. Create sample application (File->"New File or Project"->"Qt Quick application")
      3. Configure it for running on the emulator
      4. Start the application
      5. Click on the TextEdit saying "Enter some text..."

      Expected outcome:

      • Virtual keyboard is opened

      Actual outcome:

      • Focus is on the TextEdit but virtual keyboard is not shown
