Qt Creator 4.4.0
-
Windows 7 x64, Git 2.14.1.windows.1
At work, we have been using Git 1.8.7 on multiple machines for a long time (4 years). Local operations like commit or show were always fluent, only (interactive) rebase was slow compared to Linux.
I now updated to Git 2.14, mostly because QtCreator demanded it.
I've instantly noted, that some operations like commit (= pressing the Commit button in the Submit Editor) sometimes take up to 10 seconds. The UI is frozen during this time. This happens in approx. 30-50 % of all cases.
I'm sure this is no Creator problem per se, but the only thing changed is Git. I'm unsure how to investigate this problem, because it breaks the workflow of multiple small commits.
