Could building and running of a custom executable be enabled for compile_commands projects?

Without the compile_commands.json file my current project cannot be navigated as QtC is unable to find any symbols etc. This is due to our legacy code base and custom Make build system.

The compile commands (CC) project has meant that I can now use QtC for altering the code and debugging, not for buildign as this functionality is missing from CC projects (unknown reason). However, since upgrading to 4.10 I can no longer debug from within a CC project. This makes choosing QtC over VSC or KDE difficult as building and debugging is available as well as compile_commands.json support.
