It would be nice if Qt Creator can maintain a change log/history

It would be great if Qt Creator can maintain change log of all the activity happening in editor. So that even after  multiple save and build if user wants he can get option to switch back to few days old code.
the ability to have the editor keep a backup copy of all changes to all files being edited will be a big plus to Qt creator because other famous IDE dont have it . The backup might be created whenever a file is saved.

There can be a dialog box that shows the past backups for the current file and diffs can be shown there too. 

Also any backup can be selected to replace the current file. Adding a label to any particular will be further great so that user know what backup was for what purpose.
