Qt Creator 4.10.0

Windows 10, Qt Creator 4.10 64-bit, all experimental plugins disabled, mixed 32bit and 64bit C++ projects
Description
I've noticed that the new Qt Creator version 4.10 fills up the computer hard-drive by badly (or not-) managing the pch file cache. The files in question are stored under the following path:
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\QtProject\QtCreator\cache\pchs
Qt Creator fills up this directory with *.pch files at a rate of about 3GB (Giga bytes !!) per hour. At the end of one working day it had accumulated more than 25 GB of files.
We use Qt Creator with a fairly significant project consisting of several tens of subprojects and a couple of hundred source files in total. This might have contributed to the significance of the problem.
Initially, I've had the impression that Qt Creator fills up the cache because I frequently delete all build folders. But this does not seem to have any influence.
Deleting the content of the cache does not seem to have any influence except triggering the "creating PCH files" notification.
Previous versions of Qt Creator (4.9.1 and below) are not affected.
