Prompt for creation of file using locator's file filter

I use the 'f' filter in the locator to find files. I often find that I accidentally create files by thinking that I've correctly typed a directory name and then pressing enter to change into that directory.

It's very rare that I want to create a file without somehow integrating it into the project's build system or Git, or both. To do that, I'd do it through the project tree or something, not through locator.

It would be nice if there was a dialog that asked you if you wanted to create the file, with an accompanying setting to disable the prompt for those that don't want it.
