100% of the time when I open my laptop in the morning the creator window has odd behavior. It is "mostly" dead. There are a few issues:
1. Resizing he window only shrinks the window as if it were an image. It does not re-layout the UI.
2. Some UI elements respond, but the the editors do not work. You cannot place a cursor, highlight text, etc. But somethings, like the drag handles to appear.

The only fix seems to be to quit & relaunch.
