Description
The telemetry description in Qt Creator says that we collect no unique identifiers, which is not true. We need unique identifier <QUUid> to bind records from the same user together. In this way, we should see, if an evaluator has continued Qt usage as an open-source or commercial user.
The text should be changed:
We make QtCreator for you. You can help us improve it by contributing information on how you use it. This allows us to make sure we focus on things that matter to you.
Contributing statistics will not be bound to your Qt Account. Statistics will not cover any data you process with Qt Creator. We use the unique user identifier to bind records from the same user together, but the identifier is fully anonymised and there is no way to revert the identifier to names or any IP or MAC addresses. The rest of the statistics consists of anonymous data only.
