QtCreator crashes randomly when navigating, or while in background

QtCreator keeps crashing randomly on me. 

The easiest way to make it crash is to control-click on a method in a cpp file (to navigate to the declaration), that causes a crash 95% of the time. Once I clear compiler cache in `c:/user/me/AppData/Local/QtProject/QtCreator/cache/` it works ok for a while but inevitably still starts to crash.

Another type of crash is just by itself, while I'm doing something else I see that qt creator disappears. That happens multiple times per day.

Sometimes it crashes during build right after I relaunch it after yet another crash.

This has been going on for the last few versions. I loosely approximate around the introduction of the clang-based code parsing, but I'm not positive.

My usage pattern: I have a sizable project, and occasionally switch between sessions (same project, a couple of different git repos).
