Editing CMake Flag in Project Build Settings has no effect

      When I check/uncheck flags inside QtCreator -> Projects -> Build Settings -> CMake (Key/Value pairs) the changes do not affect the current cache and have no effect. I would expect CMake to be updated with the new values and use them when I start the build process after changes.
