      [First of a series of suggestions from a long time NetBeans cnd user]

      Qt Creator and Netbeans both have a feature whereby you can navigate through the history of the locations where the editing cursor was (in Qt Creator, these are the yellow left and right arrows in the top ribbon, alt-left and alt-right keyboard shortcuts]

      In addition, Netbeans has navigation (backwards only) through the history of locations where changes were made.

      An example use case of this would be if I write a call to a function but I'm not sure what the return values mean. I then use F2 and some scrolling a few times to find the body of the function and the type definition of the return type. In Netbeans I could then go straight back to my previous editing point, whereas in Creator I might have to hit alt-left several times,
