Unclear "Connecting MCUs" documentation

It is unclear from reading if the step "Adding MCU Devices" is optional or mandatory. Same for the Kits section.

The previous paragraph states that something will be done automatically, but it is not clear if the following step is then necessary or in which cases it is. A statement like "If you are fine with the default setup, you can skip the next step and continue at X" would help.
