File names are elide when there is plenty of space to display full name

In the list of open files, at least on Linux, QtCreator seems to start eliding the filenames with an ellipsis even though it's not necessary. In the attached screenshot, you can see the list of open files with all filenames technically fitting in the visible white area, however they are all elided, making it difficult to know which file is which. No matter how I resize the sidebar, there is always a gap of approximately 50 pixels that is never used for text.
