can not dismiss pop up from failed attempt to run quick application

      When the build failed a pop-up menus was displayed.
      I was successful in clearing the contents of the appropriate
      output menus but could not find a way to reset the pop up
      menu without closing the project or closing and opening
      the qtCreator.
