reviewing the menuing system. With the mode value hidden (from the window menu0
if the mode of hidden it chosen, is there a way to get at all of the hidden options
from the menu system alone? without revealing the side bar?

in window menu two entries named "show left side bar" and "show right side bar"
are not too descriptive, considering the left side bar show the projects file structures
and the right side bar shows an "outline" view.
