Qml ui project : is it possible to have pseudo "debug" option

    Description

I just discovered the "Other project/Qt Quick UI prototype" for new projects.
It is a very good tool type of project. I just discovered it!!!

I understand that the "build" for a QQU project is different.
There is no results of a compile to produce.

But then again there is no "debug" option. I don't know if it is
possible. But could such an option be provided? That option would be
in a view which gives all of the objects and all of their properties
and allow the developer to play with the values in real time. Press
buttons, drag and drop and enter input data, etc..

It is a bit like flying blind with the current situation.

The designer does not provide sufficient information when using multiple qml
files. It does not display them because they do not have a visual image.

And reactions to changes are not available because the designer definition environment
It is not an interactive environment.

You might want to move this hidden gem to a more prominent place. I understand
that in the past everything was C++ oriented. But with the way I am using it, I
find more time is spent in the Designer/Editor for QML files. But then I have
not reached a point in my project where I need to use C++. That will surely come.
If I don't get the visual design correct, I will be spending a lot more time when
it comes to the C++ part.

      Thanks,
      Larry

Update: I have found the debug option for qmlscene. That was my ignorance.
However, the "Other project/Qt Quick UI prototype" for new projects, deserves a
more prominent place in the new projects listings. Maybe "Qt Quick UI prototype" should be relabeled "Quick Designer Prototype" projects. and listed with the other
option under "Application (Qt Quick)". Or it should be at the same menu level
and named "Application (Qt Quick Design Prototype)". You can still leave the other
entries under "Other projects". Who knows maybe there will other entries in this
      major menu item.

      Just a thought.
