Variable Chooser: Filtering removes entries. Permanently

I open the "Variables" dialog by clicking on the variable icon of one of the input fileds in the Project mode.

• The Dialog appears well filled with values
• I type a character in the filter -> variable list is empty
• I clear the filter -> variable list stays empty
• I close and reopen the dialog -> variable list is empty
