Description
Building Qt for Android apps with CMake with QC doesn't offer the same level of support and usability as qmake. Since we're moving to use primarily CMake as the default build system, this needs to change as soon as possible.
Issues:
- AAB packages are not yet supported by CMake Qt 6.0.0.
Create templates button works only with qmake projects. This is due to the lack of the CMake port for a feature to write into CMakeList.txt files, and has to be handled separately QTCREATORBUG-24785.- Template examples provided by QC don't work for Qt 6.0.0.
There's a break from Qt 5 to Qt 6 support, we need to find a close common implementation as possible. The items above cover all breaks.
