Cannot connect to in-process qml application in 2 seconds

I launch profiler from Qt Creator and get an error message:

"Cannot connect to in-process qml application in 2 seconds"

 I see this on startup in the console.

"[warning] Focus (debugger\qqmldebugconnector.cpp:116) - QML Debugger: Ignoring "-qmljsdebugger=file:C:/Users/MichaelCox/AppData/Local/Temp/QtCreator-KDYixO/qtcreator-freesocket.StnkPh,block,services:CanvasFrameRate,EngineControl,DebugMessages,DebugTranslation". Debugging has not been enabled."

It was the same in the previous release I was using, but in that release it worked in debug for some reason. Now I cannot get it to work at all profile or debug.
