repeated repaint operations when opening Qt Creator each time

I noticed what seems to be a repeated call to repaint the screen on initial type operations.
I see it on the initial opening page when no projects are open. I try to get a snapshot of the situation where parts of the screen have not completed repaint (or repaint in error), but I
am not able to capture that instance. When I capture it, it is always painted correctly.
This situation also occurs when opening a project after using the Creator for awhile.

It tends to stop after a few seconds (<60). I just never know when it will occur again.
Thought you should know.

Moving the cursor around (with mouse) while in debug mode also causes the flickering repaint process. Very distracting.
