    Description

Wenn building iOS applications with CMake, it is necessary to set some CMake variables

      set(MACOSX_BUNDLE_GUI_IDENTIFIER "com.example.untitled")
      set(MACOSX_BUNDLE_BUNDLE_VERSION 0.1)
      set(MACOSX_BUNDLE_SHORT_VERSION_STRING 0.1)
      set(MACOSX_BUNDLE_LONG_VERSION_STRING 0.1)

When not setting these variables, running the application e.g. in the simulator "just fails" without a sensible error message.

      Consider

      • adding these variables with dummy values to the application templates
      • creating warnings in the Issues pane if they are not set
      • finding out where the warning message comes from that Xcode shows when trying to run the project in the simulator, and show these too
