      Hi,

it would be nice, if qtcreator could save setup of subwindows based on application mode (edit, debug, configure, help, ...)

I have a multi-monitor setup and in edit mode I usually have 2 editors side by side and often 4 editors. When I switch in debug mode, the current editor setup is minimized so that other windows (stack, variables, expressions ...) get more attention.

When debugging, I'm not interested in multiple editors, so I close all but one. But when finished debugging, I want my editors back.

In eclipse this kind of window setup is called perspective and eclipse supports several perspectives.

I would like to see qtcreator have similar feature.

Additionally it would be nice, if non-editor windows like project treeview could be splitted vertically too. I waste one monitor for project treeview.

If that could be splitted vertically, I could show project treeview and file outline on same monitor.
