File list invoked by Ctrl-Tab gets stuck on screen

In the previous version of QtCreator single press of Ctrl+Tab allowed to switch to the previous open file in history. If Ctrl remained pressed the list of files stayed on sreen and multiple presses of Tab allowed to choose files.

After upgrade to v6.0.2 in Linux Mint 21 Ctrl+Tab opens the file list and when the keys released it remains on screen and no switching to the other file happen. I need to press any other key with Ctrl released to trigger the switch .

Moreover, if I hit Ctrl+Tab very-very quickly (mush quicker than I usually do) the switching happens as it should, but if I want to press it twice to go back in history two positions, it no longer works and the file list got stuck on the screen.

This is inconvenient to the extent that makes the IDE a pain to use because Ctrl+Tab is one of the most used shortcuts.
