    Description

      For a more in dept explanation with screenshots please see this question on stack overflow that I submitted before I found the problem and before I submitted this as a bug.

      Short description:

      When you try to open a project and are presented with kits to use with the project, the list of kits will be "grayed out" and the text will read "No suitable kits found" whenever there is no CMake available on the system. However there is no explanation as to WHY the kits are not suitable and so the user experience is terrible.

      How to reproduce:

      1. Install latest QtCreator
      2. Delete cmake from your system
      3. Open an example project

      Expected result:

      Yellow warning rectangle beside each kit stating exactly why it was not suitable

      {}OR{}

      Yellow warning rectangle close to the error text "No suitable kits found" saying "NOTE: cmake not found" or similar.
