Qt Creator places temporary editor files next to my source files

    Description

      Changes to source files cause Qt Creator to create temporary files next to my source files (filename format is like ORIGINALNAME~XXXXXX.TMP).

      This clutters up my sources. Files are only deleted on closing Qt Creator (and thus remain as clutter on a crash of Qt Creator). 

       

      This problem was also present in version 11.
