If the connection fails on device detection or if there is an issue during a run step the QtC UI can freeze or even crash. Setting a shorter timeout period for ssh connection can help recover from the freezed UI during device detection for example, but some issues during the run steps are also causing crashes. It was suggested that maybe running the operations for a remote linux device asynchronously would at least help failing gracefully without blocking the UI and even crashing the QtC.
