Qt Creator 12.0.0 becoming unresponsive everytime a file is saved

I have used Qt Creator 12.0.0 for about 4 months now and it has been pretty smooth. I haven't run into any significant or recurring issues, until now. I've been working on a specific .cpp file for awhile now, and starting yesterday, almost anytime I save that file after adding anything, Qt Creator just freezes and I have to close it and reopen it. It's made using Qt Creator pretty much untenable. This had never happened before. I thought maybe it was because I had 6 different file editors open that were split various ways, but even after closing all the extra editors, the issue persists. I've completely closed the projects I need open and reopened them, tried restarting my computer multiple times, and have closed every single other app on my computer to try to fix the issue. Nothing I've tried is working. The Qt kit I'm developing with is Qt 5.15.2 MinGW 64 bit.
