Cannot open markdown file in two splits

    Description

      1. Open a markdown file in Creator.
        I used README.md from Creator's source repository.
      2. Press Ctrl+E, 2 to open the file in another split.
        Expected: A new split opens. Both splits show the markdown file.
        Actual: A new split opens, but it's empty.
      3. Open a different file in the new split.
        I used HACKING from Creator's source repository.
      4. Use the new split's file selection combo box to open the markdown file there, too.
        Expected: The new split shows the markdown file, too.
        Actual: The combo box shows the markdown file's name, but still the contents of the other file are shown.
