Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 21H2 (19044.4529),
Qt Creator 13.0.2 installed via. MSYS2 in the UCRT64 environment; note that I had to patch the PKGBUILD and install manually as the latest version available in MSYS2 repos is 13.0.1, where the issue is also present
and
Arch Linux (kernel 6.9.3, Plasma 6 on Wayland)
Qt Creator 13.0.2 from pacmanWindows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 21H2 (19044.4529), Qt Creator 13.0.2 installed via. MSYS2 in the UCRT64 environment; note that I had to patch the PKGBUILD and install manually as the latest version available in MSYS2 repos is 13.0.1, where the issue is also present and Arch Linux (kernel 6.9.3, Plasma 6 on Wayland) Qt Creator 13.0.2 from pacman
I have attached a video demonstrating the problem.
Within the Projects tab, if the current project is not configured ("Configure Project" menu) and then you press the "Manage..." button beside any kit to change settings, Qt Creator (predictably) opens the Preferences dialog. When you click "Make Default" on any kit which isn't currently the default, and then click "Apply", the Preferences dialog will close, and somehow its last visible state will be painted onto the origin of the Qt Creator main window.
On my installation of Windows (see details in the Environment parameter) Qt Creator will hang indefinitely.
On my installation of Arch Linux, the app stays responsive & the contents of the Preferences dialog displayed in the main window can be interacted with. Pressing OK or Cancel will restore the app back to its state before the dialog was open in the first place.
Curiously, this does not happen when I open the Preferences dialog manually (via. the menu bar; Edit -> Preferences...)
