File dropdown stops working after some time

    Description

      From QtCreator 13, the file dropdown above the editor is not always working. It works when starting QtCreator, but after some time, it stops working. It is not clear to me when it does, but normally at the end of a working day, I can not use the dropdown anymore.

      This is how it should work:

      The dropdown is just not showing, the background is getting black but there is no dropdown.

       

      I looked in the qtcreator log but I don't see any log printed.
