Disabling/enabling environment variables with button is not reflected in text based editor

• add a custom environment variable in the text editor of an environment setting
• select the new item in the list on the left side
• press the 'disable' button

Expected: the variable in the text editor on the right side gets prefixed with #
Actual: the list display shows the variable as disabled, but that is not reflected in the text editor
