"favourite" targets

when working on a large codebase with many targets (like qt), i often have a project with 100+ executable targets (tests, examples etc). switching between these targets is often cumbersome, as one needs to go through very large popup menus / lists.

however in most cases, there are only a few targets that i need to switch between when working on a specific codebase. it would be great to be able to have a possibility to select some "favourite" targets that can be easily selected in one way or another (not sure what could be a good UX to achieve it, but maybe something similar to what "bookmarks" do for the editor)
