I don't find an action for viewing staged changes (in a file, directory, repository) directly. The only way I found was to start a commit, select the "staged and changed" files and click "Diff for Selection".

I'd appreciate having menu items and locator actions which directly show me the equivalent of "git diff --cached" for a file, directory or repository.
