Skip clean whitespace for file types not honouring indentation

In 'Preferences->Text Editor->Behaviour->Cleanups Upon Saving' we have the "Skip clean whitespace for file types".

By default, "Makefile" is a sensible entry in here.

However, when saving, any tab indentation is getting converted to spaces.

I'm sure this used to work...
