As a user that needs to run a install_dependency.py python script before opening a CMake project, I am unable to do this operation directly from the File System View.

In Windows Explorer if I would double click, or hit Enter to execute the Python script.

In Qt Creator I need to either:

• open the terminal and drag & drop the install_dependecy.py
• right click on the install_dependency.py and click on Open With > System Editor

The last option would do the expected result, but it would open a shell window and would close it.

I would love to have the Open With > System Editor action, but captured in the terminal window with the tool output.
