QtCreator displays all qmake project source files. Those sources that are not build for the current target are greyed out.

For cmake projects, skipped files are missing from the user interface.

On the screenshot, the same attached example project is opened from both 'lineedits.pro' and  'CMakeLists.txt'. Note 'hellounix.cpp' is greyed out in the first tree and is missing from the second.
