The runnable list quickly gets out of hands already for any project with a relevant amount of tests our additional tooling, as it can be seen in the following screenshots. This project has something like 80 runnables. Selecting a runnable from this list is painful.

There really needs to be something be done, to allow structuring and filtering runnables.

As a quick measure it might help, if one could start typing letters and only get the matching results shown.

Maybe it would be help if QtCreator would start tracking frequently selected favorite runnables.

Maybe it would help, if one could attach CMake properties to various targets for grouping:

      set_target_property(tst_foomodel QTC_TARGET_GROUP "Tests/Auto/Foo Library")

Alternatively: How about using folder hierarchy to structure runnable lists with more than let's say 15, 20 entries?

I am open for discussion, and even would help with implementation, if we can decide on a route.
