Typing a "{" starts "macro mode"

      When I type a curly brace: { I get some kind of "macro mode" instead. On OSX you get a curly brace with shift-alt-( and that also seems to be a shortcut for the macro mode. I can get a real { by typing {{, i.e. recording a { in the macro mode, but that's somewhat annoying. I consider a { more important than macro mode. The shortcut is disablable from the preferences, but please consider using another shortcut for it.
