When opening an existing project in Qt Creator for the first time, the "Project Setup" dialog pops up, where you can select the appropriate Qt version. Since a couple of weeks, it incorrectly complains that "Qmake does not support build directories below the source directory.", while displaying /path/to/project/../project-desktop-build (see attachment).

This probably relates to QTCREATORBUG-2426.
